Class Definition

  • H-pattern, clutch-operated transmission class
  • Open to all makes and models
  • Heads-up competition
  • Class split into Outlaw, Pro, and Street based on qualifying performance

Race Format

  • NHRA safety rules apply
  • 1/4 mile racing
  • Heads-up competition
  • .400 Pro Tree
  • Open qualifying for all competitors
  • Maximum field size: 40 vehicles
  • All qualified competitors advance to eliminations
  • Field split after qualifying:
    • Positions 1–8: Outlaw
    • Positions 9–24: Pro
    • Positions 25–40: Street
  • Pro ladder eliminations within each class
  • Courtesy staging is strongly enforced
  • Final eliminations held on Sunday

Class Structure

  • Qualifying Positions 1–8 → Outlaw
  • Qualifying Positions 9–24 → Pro
  • Qualifying Positions 25–40 → Street

Class splits are determined solely by qualifying performance and are final once eliminations begin.

Breakout Structure

Outlaw

  • No breakout

Pro & Street

  • Breakout is 0.10 seconds quicker than each competitor’s best qualifying pass
  • Running quicker than breakout results in disqualification

STICK SHIFT


Eligibility and Verification

  • Must be Ford-powered
  • Automatic and clutchless transmissions are not permitted
  • Must return from a pass under its own power
  • Subject to verification at any time

Transmission and Driver Control

  • H-pattern manual transmission required
  • Clutch must be foot-operated
  • Driver must manually shift all gears

Permitted:

  • Strain gauge for ignition/timing cut only

Not permitted:

  • Pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric shifting
  • Sequential transmissions

Chassis and Body

  • Factory-based chassis required
  • No full tube chassis

Tires and Wheels

  • 28×10.5 slick or 275 radial
  • No motorcycle tires

Engine and Power Adders

  • No restrictions

Safety Equipment

  • NHRA safety rules apply
