Class Definition
- Small tire index class focused on consistency and driver skill
- Structured around index racing, not heads-up performance competition
Race Format
- 1/8 mile racing
- .400 Pro Tree
- 5.30 index
- Each racer will receive a torn timeslip showing only their times
- Chip draw each round
- Open qualifying for all competitors
- All qualified competitors will compete in eliminations
Breakout Rule
- 5.30 is a hard index
- Running quicker than 5.30 during eliminations results in disqualification for that round
Eligibility and Verification
- Must be a full-bodied door car
- Must return from a pass under its own power
- Subject to verification at any time by event staff
Chassis and Body
- Factory-based chassis required
- Full-bodied vehicle required
Tires and Wheels
- Maximum tire size limited to:
- 275 radial
- 28×10.5 slick
- Tire size verified by sidewall designation only
- Motorcycle tires not permitted
Engine and Power Adders
- Any engine combination permitted
- Turbochargers permitted
- Superchargers permitted
- Nitrous permitted
Fuel and Fuel System
- All fuel types permitted
- Any fuel system permitted
- Any fuel location permitted
Cooling System
- Water only
- No coolant or additives permitted
Oiling System
- Engine diaper or catch pan required for vehicles running 9.99 or faster
Electronics
- Aftermarket ECU permitted
- No delay boxes permitted
- No throttle stops permitted
- No automated reaction-time devices permitted
Safety Equipment
- NHRA safety rules apply based on vehicle performance
Fluids and Track Containment
- Water only in all cooling systems
- Any vehicle leaking fluids onto the racing surface will be removed from competition
Return from Pass
- Vehicles must return from a pass under their own power unless directed otherwise
Staging and Readiness
- Vehicles must be ready to run when called
- Failure to report may result in loss of the run or disqualification
Technical Inspection
- All vehicles are subject to inspection at any time
Conduct and Operation
- All participants must follow staff direction at all times
- Unsafe behavior may result in removal from the event
Final Authority
- All technical inspections, rule interpretations, and competition decisions are subject to final determination by race officials
- All decisions are final
